Although the degreaser
control panel is not a standard product offered by Process Engineering
Services, it is a good example of the type of customized process control
engineering, design and construction offered by PES. The client was
experiencing problems operating a multi-sump degreaser system properly and had
collapsed the vapor zone, increased steam and exceeded the vapor condenser
capacity, causing excess solvent vapor emissions. PES designed, constructed and
installed a control panel which used a series of thermocouples, interlocked
with system operations such as the parts conveyor and the steam to the solvent
sumps, to monitor and control degreaser operation. |
