Process Engineering Services, Inc. (PES) offers a quarterly preventive maintenance program (QPMP) that helps to insure less process downtime, greater solvent recovery efficiency and minimum utility costs for system operation.

• Inspect all gaskets/seals for leaks.
• Replace all filters (main air inlet, cooling air, sample point, etc.).
• Inspect the steam valves for leakage.
• Inspect the carbon beds for the proper amount of carbon and level the beds, if needed.
• Inspect the operation of all air cylinder valves on the machines.
• Inspect all main air inlet damper o-rings and check for steam leaks.
• Check process air flows and adjust if necessary.
• Inspect all manual and pneumatic valves for proper operation and check all stem packing for leaks.
• Verify that the cooling water supply and the steam supply to each unit is adequate.
• Observe both the separator and condenser operation and verify that both are operating properly.
• Check the program timer settings and step the unit through it's cycles.

• Inspect all indicating lamps on the control panel.
• Check all pressure gauges for proper calibration.
• Review spare parts inventory for proper on hand supply of critical parts.
• Inspect all regulators on the machines for correct function and settings.
• Remove a carbon sample from each bed and have it tested by an independent laboratory for the Carbon Tetrachloride Activity level. Report the results.
• If the system is equipped with a VOC monitoring system, inspect all monitoring system pump assemblies for wear and adequate pressure output.
• Replace the Sample Pump Diaphragm and disks.
• Completely overhaul the VOC Monitoring System. This includes the disassembly and cleaning of the monitoring instrument.
